PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect many substrates constituting a transmission device by buses through optical signals and further to interconnect those buses through optical signals. SOLUTION: Optical sheet buses 20-1 to 20-4 of an optical bus 2-j input and output optical signals by connecting many circuit boards by buses and transmit the optical signals among the circuit boards. An optical sheet bus 20-m of the optical bus 2-j inputs and outputs optical signals to and from an optical sheet bus 30-m of an inter-bus transmission line 3. The optical sheet bus 30-m transmits optical signals inputted from each of optical sheet buses 20-m of the optical buses 2-1 to 2-3 and transmits the signals among the optical sheet buses 20-m of the optical buses 2-1 to 2-3.
