PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a section steel having a projection inside the flange and a finishing universal rolling mill therefor capable of manufacturing the section steel, through hot-rolling, having the projection with a shape extending to the flange width direction in the flange inner surface without any large investment in plant and machinery. SOLUTION: When finish-rolling is performed for the section steel S having the flange SF and the web SW, making the corner section 6a of the roll side surface as a starting point, a finishing universal rolling mill 5 incorporating a horizontal roll 6 which forms a plurality of slits 7 headed for substantially the roll shaft 8 is employed and at the time of pressing the inner surface of the flange SF by the side surface of the horizontal roll 6, a plurality of projections t are formed inside the flange SF. |
