摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axle locking mechanism for a vehicle capable of improving a front and rear stability of the vehicle at working time and of increasing a maximum traveling speed of the vehicle at non-working time. SOLUTION: An axle 11 is supported on a vehicle body 2 through a suspension spring mechanism 6 so as to freely oscillate, and lock cylinders 12R and 12L are placed between the vehicle body 2 and both ends of the axle 11. A bottom chamber of each of the lock cylinders 12R and 12L are connected each other and a rod chamber of each of the lock cylinders 12R and 12L are connected each other with pipings 15 and 16 respectively. At working time, switching valves 13R and 13L are activated by operating an operating switch and two rods of the both lock cylinders 12R and 12L can be moved in separated different directions. The two rods of the both lock cylinders 12R and 12L cannot be moved in the same direction simultaneously. Accordingly vertical movement due to pitching is restricted while rolling movement is allowed.
