PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold assembly for molding an optical disc which shows outstanding heat resistance and durability by preventing a mold body from being worn out due to the expansion and contraction of a stamper following a heating/cooling cycle per injection shot. SOLUTION: This mold assembly is equipped with a cavity side half (a first mold body) 1 of a mold for demarcating a cavity space and a movable half (a second mold body) 2 for molding an optical disc by injection molding. Further, in the cavity block 17 of the cavity side half 1, a stamper supporting face 17a for retaining a stamper 36 is coated with a TiAlN film 17b.
