PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate the most suitable exposure value even in the case that a part of an image sensor output overflows by utilizing the output of a focus detecting image sensor for light measurement. SOLUTION: A range of photoelectric transducers which should be used for photometric value calculation, out of a plurality of photoelectric transducers of the image sensor is determined in accordance with the output signal of the image sensor, and a photometric value is calculated on the basis of outputs of photoelectric transducers within the range. Thus a range of photoelectric transducers of which the picture signals have overflowed can be excluded, and the output of the focus detecting image sensor is utilized for light measurement to calculate the most suitable exposure value. |
