PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the ray convergence angle to a video display element without increasing the size of a video display device and degrading the efficiency of light utilization for the purpose of realizing a small size, high luminance and high contrast. SOLUTION: A reflector has a reflecting surface of a shape to reflect the luminous flux from a light source so a to reflect the same to converge and is so formed as to make respective lens cells forming a first lens array mutually eccentric.
