NEW NARINGENIN DERIVATIVE AND USE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a new naringenin derivative capable of effectively controlling seed beetles damaging edible bean seeds by eating and derived from a natural (vegetable) product and an insecticidal composition comprising the new naringenin derivative as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This new naringenin derivative is represented by general formula [I] (wherein, R<1> and R<2> denote each hydrogen atom orβ-D-glucosyl group except that both are the same constituents). The insecticidal composition comprises the naringenin derivative as the active ingredient.
