PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polybutylene terephthalate resin composition having high flame retardance not containing bromine or chlorine, and excellent in thermal resistance, mechanical properties together with appearance of a molded article. SOLUTION: This flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition comprises (I) 60-90 wt.% of a resin composition and (II) 10-40 wt.% of fibrous filler, and the resin composition (I) comprises 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin component comprising (A) 68-77 wt.% of a polybutylene terephthalate based resin and (B) 23-32 wt.% of a polycarbonate resin, compounded with (C) 0.01-10 wt.% of a polytetrafluoroethylene and (D) 7-13 pts.wt. of a flame retardant based on red phosphorus.
