PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition for electric insulation containing none of toluene, xylene, or a petroleum hydrocarbon as dilution solvent and having the characteristics as those of a conventional polyester resin composition for electric insulation. SOLUTION: This resin composition for electric insulation comprises (A) a polyester resin, (B) a phenol resin or a melamine resin and (C) a propylene glycol alkyl ether as essential components. The composition contains 3-50 pts.wt. phenol resin or the melamine resin(B) based on 100 pts.wt. polyester resin (A).
