PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid open/close mechanism of a storage box of a motorcycle capable of smoothly opening/closing the lid of the storage box, enhancing the value as a commodity. SOLUTION: The lid open/close mechanism is for opening/closing the lid of the storage box of the motorcycle. A fulcrum plate 5 with a notch 9 formed is fixed at the lower end of the lid 3, and a damper motion gear 6 is rotatably attached to an inner wall part 2a of the box opposite to the fulcrum plate 5. A damper unit 8 with a damper gear 7 engaged with the damper motion gear 6 is fixed to the inner wall part 2a of the box, and a pawl part 10 formed in the damper motion gear 6 is slackly engaged with the notch 9, so that the lid 3 is opened/closed with the pawl part 10 moving along the shape of the notch 9.
