The connector assembly comprises a comb structure, with an array of separate connectors supported on a common plate. The connectors all provide branch connections derived from a main cable, and are supported side by side to provide rapid connection fittings. <??>The connection comb (170) for pre-existing cabling, in an information transmission network, comprises connectors fitting with contact fingers (210) which are intended to be fitted into an electrical junction bar. This establishes connection between the pre-existing cable and the branch cable. The electric junction bar is intended to provide electrical continuity between electrical cabling attached to its input, and cabling attached to its output. The comb comprises a series of connectors (174 - 204) providing branch connections all attached to a single mounting plate (170), with a system (232) for supporting this plate.
