PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric fishing reel capable of simultaneously carrying out increasing or decreasing control of motor output and on/off changeover operation of a spool motor when fishing and independently, rapidly, readily and surely carrying out these operations, correspondingly to the change of conditions. SOLUTION: This electric fishing reel is equipped with the spool motor for carrying out wind driving of a spool, a motor output control body attached to a reel body so as to enable displacement operation and a motor output control means for continuously increasing or decreasing motor output of the spool motor accordingly to the displacement operation of the motor output control body. In the electric fishing reel, the motor output control body is attached to the reel body so as to enable moving operation, and an ON/OFF switch for carrying out start and stop of the spool motor is installed so as to enable moving operation in nearly same direction as the moving direction of the motor output control body in the vicinity of the motor output control body separately from the motor output control body.
