PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmic system wherein even if the illumination light source is broken during the system is being used, the illumination light source can be easily replaced with a new one. SOLUTION: This ophthalmic system performs an examination or the observation of the eyes to be examined. Such an ophthalmic system is equipped with an illumination optical system, a box body, and a switching mechanism. In this case, the illumination optical system has a first light source which becomes the main light source for illumination light which is used for the examination and the observation of the eyes to be examined, and a second light source which is used as the subsidiary light source for the first light source. In the box body, the illumination optical system is arranged. The switching mechanism selectively switches the light source for the illumination light, which is guided to the illumination optical path of the illumination optical system, to the first light source and the second light source. |
