PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce generation of aliasing artifacts. SOLUTION: An auxiliary coil 10y1-1 is wound around segments 2-3 to 2-9 of a magnetic regulating plate 2, an auxiliary coil 10y1-2 is wound around the segments 2-13 to 2-19 of the magnetic regulating plate 2 and an auxiliary current i is supplied to the auxiliary coils 10y1-1 and 10y1-2. Thus the drop of a gradient magnetic field on the outside of a uniform space of a static magnetic field is mitigated.
