PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a coating material turning around to the back face of a porous plate at the time of applying the coating material to the front face of the porous plate. SOLUTION: The coating method of a porous plate (ALC plate) is for coating the front face of a porous plate during transportation process from a step of taking in the porous plate to a step of taking out the plate and involves coating steps 102 and 104 of forming a coating liquid film on the front face of the ALC plate by blowing a water-proof coating material by pressure to the front face of the ALC plate and a removal step 105 of removing the coating material turning around to the rear face of the ALC plate by washing with a brush.
