PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the inlet port body for a vacuum cleaner in which a rotating cleaning body can be attached in an accurate direction and moreover which can also be applied to a right and left undirectional type rotating cleaning body. SOLUTION: The inlet port body for a vacuum cleaner is provided with a inlet port body, in which a suction chamber having a suction opening at the bottom is formed, a rotating cleaning body having a cleaning member, which is attached rotatably and removably to the inside of the suction chamber and projects in an inclined or curved way in a predetermined direction onto a rotation axis and the surrounding face of this rotation axis, and a connecting tube which is place in the inlet port main body and communicates with the suction chamber. A rotating cleaning body 26 has shafts 101 and 102 in both edges, bearings 103A and 103B are rotatably provided at these shafts 101 and 102. In such a constitution, a projecting portion 101A projecting from the bearing 103A is provided at the shaft 101 and a recess portion for the projecting portion 101A to enter is formed in a support portion on the suction chamber side which supports the bearing 103A.
