PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope not allowing excessive stress to act on an exterior member even if exposed to a high temperature environment. SOLUTION: In the endoscope equipped with a structure comprising frame members 14, 15, and 18 forming an inner space S, the exterior member 16 externally fitted to the frame members 14, 15, and 18 to seal the inner space S in a watertight state, and the fixing member 25 threaded with the frame members 14, 15, and 18 to restrict the exterior member 16 in a held state with respect to the frame members, a regulation means 18a for regulating the distortion quantity of the fixing member 25 with respect to the frame members 14, 15, and 18 is provided and, in such a state that the distortion quantity of the fixing member 25 is regulated by the regulation means 18a, a space 21 is formed between the fixing member 25 and the exterior member 16 in the axial direction of the exterior member 16.
