PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertically movable dishwasher, by which a kitchen can be effectively utilized, and at the same time, which can be installed without sacrificing the housing space for cooking utensils, and in addition, can reduce burden for the putting-in/taking-out. SOLUTION: In this vertically movable dishwasher 1, a dishwasher body 2 is housed. By opening doors 10 and 11 under a state wherein the dishwasher body 2 is lowered to a location lower than a base 13 by a vertically moving device, tableware can be easily put in/taken out through an opening 9. Also, normally, by lifting the dishwasher body 2 and housing it in the base 13, cooking can be performed in the kitchen 5 without generating troubles.
