PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood component separation device eliminating the need to re-centrifuge blood for re-separation even if there is a problem with an interface detection means and, in some cases, the need to dispose of blood wastefully. SOLUTION: In the blood component separation device 1, a blood bag 30 having a master bag 31 and a plurality of slave bags 32, 33 and 34 is installed and the components of blood in the master bag 31 which are separated into layers by centrifugation are automatically transferred into the respective slave bags 32, 33 and 34. The separation device 1 has a pressing means 4 for the master bag 31, having an upper pressing plate 11 and a lower pressing plate 12. An interface detection means 3a is attached to approximately the mid portion of the upper pressing plate 11 and another interface detection means 3b is attached to the master bag 31 side of a clamp-seal means 2 positioned at a connecting tube 35a for connecting the master bag 31 to the plurality of slave bags 32, 33 and 34. |
