PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contamination preventing type endoscope not requiring additional equipment for attaching and detaching a cylindrical cover and capable of making the cylindrical cover detachable easily and certainly with respect to an insertion part. SOLUTION: The cylindrical cover 21 is a cylindrical body comprising an elastic material and closed at a part other than the base end opening thereof and the inner diameter thereof is made larger than the outer diameter of the insertion part 11 of the endoscope. A suction pipeline 14 for sucking air from the interior of the cylindrical cover 21 is inserted into the insertion part to be arranged therein and a hermetically closable suction cap 15 communicating with the suction pipeline 14 is arranged in an operation part 12.
