PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize at least one of prevention of propagation and putrefaction of bacteria and further generation of odor at a garbage, an enhancement of use and further reduction of a device cost and a running cost. SOLUTION: In order to dry a garbage at a pressure-reduction environment while heating and/or stirring, at least one of that usual heating is restricted to realize a temperature reduction when a pressure reduction degree is at a lower limit or less and heating is returned to the usual state when the pressure reduction degree exceeds the lower limit; that stirring is intermittently carried out and a ratio of stirring time and stopping time is changed corresponding to a passing time; and that starting of suction/pressure reduction is delayed until a predetermined stand-up waiting time is passed. Thereby, the above object is accomplished.
