PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the suction port body for a vacuum cleaner in which a rotating cleaning body can be surely attached in an accurate direction. SOLUTION: The suction port body 20 for a vacuum cleaner is provided with a inlet port body 21, in which a suction chamber 25 having a suction opening 23 at the bottom is formed, a rotating cleaning body 26 having a cleaning member, which is attached rotatably and removably to the inside of the suction chamber 25 and projects in an inclined or curved way in a predetermined direction onto a rotation axis and the surrounding face of this rotation axis, and a connecting tube 22 which is placed in the suction port main body 21 and communicates with the suction chamber 25. In the suction port body 20 for such a vacuum cleaner, a recess portion 101 is formed in a main body case 30 and a name plate 100, in which an attaching direction for the rotating cleaning body 26 is specified, engages with the inside of the recess portion 101. Moreover, the recess portion 101 is formed in a place which can be easily seen when attaching the rotating cleaning body.
