METHOD FOR REALIZING SEGMENT CASH BUFFER FOR GROUP ADAPTATION TYPE

PURPOSE: A method for realizing a segment cash buffer for a group adaptation type is provided to efficiently adapt to a data read/write command requested from an external device such as a host computer. CONSTITUTION: Responding to the data read command received from the external device such as the host computer, a data capacity requested from the external device is calculated. It is checked that the calculated data capacity is hit by searching each group of a cash memory in a priority order. In case that a segment hit is occurs based on a check result, a cash memory management table is updated after reading/outputting the data in the corresponding segment. In the case that no segment hit is occurred, the segment is allotted according to an LRU(Least Recently Used) method by searching the group of the lower priority order in the cash memory.
