PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact mop in which a length of the whole handle is adjustable by pivotally mounting an joint handle to a front end of the handle and bending the joint handle in the compact mop where the handle projects out from an upper face of a mop body upward and outward. SOLUTION: The joint handle 11 with left and right side plates 13, 13 erecting from the left and the right of a bottom plate 12 thereof is provided and the front end of the mop handle 3 is placed on a part of the bottom plate 12 of a joint handle base and pinched between the left and right side plates 13, 13. Pivotally mounting the front end of the handle 3 between the left and the right side plates 13, 13 and rotating the joint handle around a pivotally mounted part of the handle 3 allow the joint handle 11 to be fit with the outside of the handle 3.
