摘要 FIELD: machine engineering, namely methods for mounting mandrel with blank onto centers in round grinding machine tools and in lathes. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of providing contact of working surfaces of front and rear centers with center opening of mandrel having through axial opening for feeding cutting fluid to working surfaces of centers by pumping it from one center to another; in line for discharging cutting fluid realizing evacuation for discharging cutting fluid penetrated through contact zone of center working surfaces with center opening of mandrel. Apparatus for mounting mandrel with blank onto centers includes basing member in the form of sleeve with center opening pressed-in to mandrel. Zone protective mechanism of apparatus is in the form of body arranged on cylindrical land of each center and sleeve provided with pins, spring-loaded relative to body and mounted in body with possibility of lengthwise motion. Sleeve has central and lengthwise eccentric openings and lengthwise groove. Crank-slide mechanism of apparatus is designed for closing sleeve in lengthwise direction with body. Each center has axial and eccentric openings for feeding cutting fluid and discharging it; mandrel had through axial opening and grooves on chamfers of mandrel end; said grooves are inclined relative to axis of mandrel and may engage with pins of sleeve. Apparatus includes two sealings placed in sleeve of zone-protective mechanism and in body with possibility of engaging with cylindrical land of center and one more sealing placed at side of sleeve end with possibility of engaging with end of mandrel. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities at working parts such as bodies of revolution based with use of central opening by means of mandrel, enhanced efficiency and accuracy of working process. 3 cl, 3 dwg, 1 ex
