FIELD: feed production. SUBSTANCE: method involves processing raw material, such as boxcalf leather production wastes, by extruding at temperature of 100-300 C under pressure of 1-40 MPa for 2-160 s. Raw material may be further comprised of sodium nitrate and/or nitrite and products of plant origin. Method allows low-cost, fully disinfected protein product of high energy value and homogeneous composition to be obtained.
