PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system having hardly-varied color temperature, capable of executing stable dimmer control. SOLUTION: This lighting system has a white light-emitting diode 1 and a fluorescent lamp 2, an LED lighting circuit 3 lighting the light-emitting diode 1, a fluorescent lamp lighting circuit 4 lighting the fluorescent lamp 2, a dimmer 5 outputting a dimmer signal, a receiver 6 receiving the dimmer signal outputted from the dimmer 5, and a converter 7 outputting a signal corresponding to the dimmer signal. When the degree of the dimmer signal is in a range from Full to a prescribed value α, the fluorescent lamp 2 turns on. When the dimmer degree is in a range from the prescribed value α to zero, the fluorescent lamp 2 turns off, and only the light-emitting diode 1 turns on. As the degree of the dimmer signal becomes deep, light output of the light-emitting diode 1 and the fluorescent lamp 2 reduces. The total light output of the lighting system is controlled such that the total light output changes in proportion to the degree of the dimmer signal. The degree of the dimmer signal having brightness brighter than brightness causing a blink or extinction of the fluorescent lamp 2 is set to the prescribed value α. |
