PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a receiver side to automatically discriminate a program recommended by a broadcasting carrier side and notify a user that the program matches with the user's attribute if the program matches with or is close to the user's attribute. SOLUTION: This receiver comprises a means for receiving and decoding an SDT including a descriptor inserted with a viewer attribute intended by a program producer, a means for inputting and storing the attribute of the user himself/herself, a means for comparing the both attributes and notifying the results of the comparison and its related information, or the like.
