PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize dispersion of data collected by each cycle of charging and discharging, to determine more accurately the acceptability of products in measurement/inspection of initial quality, which is performed at the final step of the manufacturing process of an electric double-layer capacitor. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the electric double-layer capacitor, which comprises the steps of forming a predetermined laminate 20 by cathodes 21, anodes 22, and separators (not shown) that lie in between them, joining lead sections 23 of he cathodes 21 and the anodes 22 to corresponding terminals 11, immersing the laminate 20 in an electrolytic solution, sealing a case 10 after leading a pair of the terminals 11 from a case 10 of flexible material, which houses the laminate 20, to the outside, and processing measurement/ inspection of the initial quality by using a cycle of charging and discharging, in which electric current is made to flow between a pair of the terminals 11 for charging to a preset voltage and discharge thereafter, in which the case that houses the laminate 20 together with electrolytic solution is maintained in a pressured state from the outside, in the thickness direction of the laminate 20 during the processing of measurement/inspection of the initial quality. |
