PURPOSE: A short message storing service method and a system therefor are provided to store short messages in a predetermined server during a predetermined period, though the received and sent short messages are deleted on a mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: A storage period of short messages is set in a short message storage server by using a mobile communication terminal(S10,S20,S30). If the storage period is not set by using the mobile communication terminal, a storage period designated by a manager of the short message storage server is automatically set. Short messages received and sent in the past are inquired with the mobile communication terminal(S40). The period of the inquiry is set(S50). A list of the received and sent messages is displayed on a screen of the mobile communication terminal(S60). If a user selects one message in the displayed list, the selected message is displayed on the screen of the mobile communication terminal(S70,S80). |
