摘要 PURPOSE: An indirect acknowledgement method for a snoop protocol according to the transmission delay of a radio link and a packet transmission apparatus in a wired and wireless communication network for performing the same are provided to reduce the generation probability of retransmission time excess capable of being generated in a transmission terminal and efficiently use wired resources by adding an indirect acknowledgement function in a base station for indirectly acknowledging a packet. CONSTITUTION: It is judged whether a received data packet is a new data packet whenever the data packet is received from a transmission terminal. It is judged whether a buffer, which stores the received data packet, satisfies a specific limit condition. If the received data packet is the new data packet and the buffer satisfies the specific limit condition, an indirect acknowledgement timer about the received data packet is set up. It is judged whether an acknowledgement packet is repeated whenever the acknowledgement packet is received from a reception terminal(42,44,52,56). It is judged whether the buffer satisfies the specific limit condition(60). If the acknowledgement packet is a primary repetition acknowledgement packet and the buffer satisfies the specific limit condition, the indirect acknowledgement timer generates an indirect acknowledgement packet about a finally set data packet and transmits the indirect acknowledgement packet to the transmission terminal(64).
