PURPOSE: Provided is a method for producing a secondary battery, in which an injection port of electrolyte is sealed so that gas generated after initial charging is removed under vacuum state. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (i) coating a cathode collector with cathode active material layer to form an anode plate, (ii) coating an anode collector with an anode active material layer to form an anode plate, (iii) winding and compressing the anode and cathode to form a battery part, wherein a separator is positioned between the anode and cathode, (iv) inserting the battery part into a can, (v) injecting electrolyte into the can through the injection port, and (vi) sealing the injection port under vacuum state, so as to form a battery.
