PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind-power generator which can perform cooperating operation with a power system, by directly converting the frequency of the AC output of a generator. SOLUTION: This wind-power generator possesses a windmill which rotates by receiving wind-power energy, a generator which outputs AC power of a predetermined frequency with its shaft being coupled with that windmill, and a cyclone converter which directly converts the AC power outputted by the generator in question into AC power of the same frequency as that of the power system, this performs cooperating operation with the power system, and the cyclone converter reduces switching noise by being switched in the vicinity of zero-crossing voltage. |
