PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc apparatus and a control method thereof, which record and/or reproduce information with an approximately constant moving speed of a disc at an information read position and which can record and/or reproduce information, while the rotation of the disc is stabilized. SOLUTION: This disc apparatus records and/or reproduces information, while a spindle motor is made to rotate, so as to have the moving speed of a disc within a prescribed range at an information read position. The moving speed of the disc at the information read position is detected, speed control signals which make the moving speed within the prescribed range are generated, and the generated speed control signals are added to preset DC signals, to obtain summation signals by which the spindle motor is driven. |
