PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile server which can reduce a printing toner cost and can register a terminal device as a broadcast destination without causing any error, even when the terminal apparatus has not a capability of receiving color picture data. SOLUTION: A facsimile machine 1 includes a broadcast print setting table 20 for defining the format of picture data to be generated, to which the format of received color image data is converted, on the basis of communication information received together with the color picture data; a format converting means for converting the received color picture data to picture data having a format defined by the format defining means; and an output means for outputting the picture data having the format converted by the format converting means to a printer 8, or to other terminal devices 17, 18 and 19.
