PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure excellent transmission quality even in a narrow band when acoustic signals such as voice and the sounds of musical instruments and various multimedia signals are transmitted with a simplex communication system or broadcast communication system. SOLUTION: Excellent demodulation characteristics are obtained by reducing necessary transmission bands by using SSB modulation technology and performing RZ SSB demodulation on the receiving side. In this case, sidebands and carrier wave components are transmitted by separating them on a frequency axis so that quality degradation due to the frequency stability of a transmitting/ receiving part is hardly caused and a receiving circuit is easily structured. The receiving side performs frequency conversion of the sidebands and carrier wave components separately and coverts them into a signal form suitable for the RZ SSB demodulation.
