PURPOSE: A washing machine is provided to improve washing efficiency by increasing torque as much as deceleration without increase of capacity of a motor with rotating a pulsator and an inner tub. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine is composed of a motor(5) formed in the lower part of an outer tub(2); a washing shaft including a lower washing shaft(6a) directly connected to the motor and an upper washing shaft(6b) combined with a pulsator(4) inside an inner tub; a dehydrating shaft(7) rotatably supported by a bearing outside the washing shaft and combined with the inner tub by penetrating; a lower clutch formed in the lower washing shaft and the lower part of the dehydrating shaft for separating the dehydrating shaft from the lower washing shaft in lifting up, and constraining the dehydrating shaft to the lower washing shaft in moving down; an upper clutch in the inner tub for constraining the dehydrating shaft to the upper washing shaft in lifting up, and separating the dehydrating shaft from the upper washing shaft in moving down; and an electromagnet(30) formed in the lower part of the outer tub to lift the upper clutch up and down. Washing is performed by stirring with the pulsator and rotating the inner tub without increasing the capacity of the motor. |
