PURPOSE: A wireless resource management method in an handover of a high speed line call in a mobile communication system is provided to reduce a forced finish rate of the handover when performing a high speed line service. CONSTITUTION: According to a report relating to intensity of a downlink signal from a mobile terminal, a handover determination body determines whether he performs the handover or not(201,202). Thereafter, the mobile terminal searches whether there is surplus of wireless resources in a transition cell(203). Thereafter, if there is surplus of wireless resources capable of accommodating existing high speed line call in the transition cell, the same type wireless resources is added, and if it is a hard handover, wireless resources of the existing cell is cancelled(207). Thereafter, if there is no surplus of wireless resources capable of accommodating existing high speed line call in the transition cell, it is searched whether there is surplus of the wireless resources as much as capable of accommodating a voice call in the transition cell(205). If there is surplus of the wireless resources as much as capable of accommodating a voice call in the transition cell, and if it is not a hard handover, wireless resources for an image service of the existing cell is changed into a use of a voice service. If it is the hard handover, the wireless resources cancel work for an image service of the existing cell is performed and the wireless resources for the use of the voice service is added to the transition cell(206).
