PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device which can prevent data loss in the terminal at a low voltage and control the power source of each of devices under connection individually, and also provide a method for backing up the data and a method for controlling the power source. SOLUTION: When a voltage-measuring means 101 detects low voltage, the data in the terminal are saved by a terminal condition-storing means 107 using a storage device-controlling means 102, peripheral storage device-controlling means 103 and data-communicating means 104 in accordance with a user's setting, and the power source of each device is controlled by a power source- controlling means 105. When an ordinary condition is recovered from the low voltage, the condition of the power source of each device is restored by the power source-controlling means, and the data in the terminal are restored by a terminal condition-restoring means 108 using the storage device-controlling means 102, peripheral storage device-controlling means 103 and data- communicating means 104. By this, the data loss in the terminal is prevented, and the convenience is improved. |
