DISCHARGE GAP SWITCH

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge gap switch preventing generation of large impulse sound in operation and reducing the maintenance and checking by using no trigger electrode. SOLUTION: This discharge gap switch is composed of an electrode chamber 1 in which a pair of discharge electrodes faced each other is housed; a decompression chamber 4 having larger volume than the electrode chamber 1; and a vacuum pump 5 for reducing pressure of the decompression chamber 4, a valve 3 opening and electrode chamber 1 to the atmosphere and a valve 3 communicating the electrode chamber 1 with the decompression chamber 4 are installed, and the valve 3 opening the electrode chamber 1 to the atmosphere is closed and the valve 3 communicating the electrode chamber 1 with decompression chamber 4 is opened.
