PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a real time clock capable of easily realizing the fail-safe of electrical equipment and electrical equipment using this real time clock. SOLUTION: A real time clock (RTC) 50 is provided with a function for detecting the operations of operation switches SW1-SW3 of an electrical pot based on the potentials of event detecting terminals EV1-EV4 and the output of an abnormality detection signal from a temperature detecting part 65, and for storing the data in an inside memory as event data by making the event data correspond to time data. Also, the RTC 50 is provided with a function for transmitting the event data stored in the inside memory to a control part 60 and a function for transmitting an interrupting signal to the control part 60 at the time of detecting that the abnormality detection signal is outputted. Thus, even when any trouble such as power failure occurs or electrical equipment breaks down, it is possible to store the event data, or to execute interruption.
