PURPOSE: A device for forming at least one groove in friction layer of sheltered plate for clutch disc is provided, and a method for forming at least one groove in the friction layer of friction plate for clutch disc is provided. CONSTITUTION: In a device for forming at least one groove in friction layer of sheltered disc for power transmission assembly, the device for forming grooves in friction layer is characterized in that it comprises a rolling unit(1) having at least one roller flange(7) for roller for forming at least one groove, wherein the rolling unit(1) comprises a driving shaft(4) rotatable for rotation shaft (R), at least one template disc(2) is axially installed on the driving shaft(4), and at least one roller flange(7) is formed on the outer circumference(8) of the disc.
