PURPOSE: An oil separator of a screw compressor is provided to perfectly separate and recover refrigerating oil from mixed fluid of refrigerating oil and refrigerant vapor. CONSTITUTION: An oil separator comprises a steel wool filter comprising steel wool(2) stored between a plurality of porous tubes(1); an L-shaped discharge tube assembly(3) formed to penetrate a point on a lower part of the steel wool filter; a V-shaped vertical baffle plate(4) formed on an upper part of the discharge tube assembly; an upside-down V-shaped horizontal baffle plate formed on a lower part of the discharge tube assembly; and a distance sleeve(6) and a stud bolt(7) formed to assemble the steel wool filter, the discharge tube assembly and the baffle plates into an oil separator housing(8).
