PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the merchandise housing device of an automatic vending machine capable of preventing a merchandise housing channel from being blocked with merchandise in the middle, and surely housing and selling merchandise in a proper attitude. SOLUTION: In a merchandise housing device 1 of an automatic vending machine in which merchandise S is inputted from the upper part to a merchandise housing channel 2 while the laid merchandise is fed, and housed so as to be stacked in the vertical direction, and the merchandise S is ejected successively with the merchandise S at the lowest position firstly according to the selling operation of a merchandise ejecting device 3 disposed at the lower part of the merchandise housing channel 2, a protruding part protruding on one inner face of the merchandise housing channel 2 to which the merchandise S to be inputted from the upper part is butted and a roller formed on the other inner face of the merchandise channel at the lower part of the protruding part to which the merchandise is butted while being butted to the protruding part are disposed at the merchandise housing channel 2 just above the merchandise ejecting device 3.
