PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately display, on each client device, the content of a document file described in mark-up language. SOLUTION: By using the document file 4 composed of a header part 4a having more than one piece of control information 5 and a body part 4b having client identifiers 6 associated with the pieces of the control information 5 respectively, a document file transmitted from a server 1 is received by a browser 20 having a client discriminant variable 30 indicating a function inherent in a device. At first, the header part 4a in the document file 4 is analyzed to store more than one piece of the control information 5 in a storage part 22. Then, the body part 4b is analyzed to detect the client identifier 6, and whether or not the client discriminant variable 30 included in the browser 20 matches with the detected client identifier 6 is determined. If there is a match, only the control information 5 associated with the client identifier 6 is extracted from the storage part 22, and unique control processing including display control for the device 2a is executed based on the control information 5.
