PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance operability in the case of making an international call and to easily create a country-by-country telephone directory. SOLUTION: The telephone number information providing system includes; an information providing device 1 stores and provides a plurality of service names and telephone number information D1 belonging to each service name by country; an information processor 2 that transmits information with respect to a desired service name, current location information D2 or/and a selected country to the information providing device 1 to request the device 1 to provide information and receives the telephone number information D1 on the service name from the information providing device 1 to create a telephone directory; and a communication means 3 that connects the information providing device 1 and the information processor 2. The information providing device 1 receives the information on a service name, current location information D2 or/and a selected country from the information processor 2, retrieves and distributes the telephone number information D1 corresponding to the service name belonging to the current location of its own country, or retrieves and distributes the telephone number information D1 corresponding to the service name belonging to the selected country.
