PURPOSE: An advance wastewater treatment method using modified sequencing batch reactor and an apparatus therefor are provided to remove organics, nitrogen and phosphorus in wastewater in one single reactor. CONSTITUTION: The advance wastewater treatment method using modified sequencing batch reactor comprises an anaerobic stir phase; a primary aerobic stir phase; an anoxic stir phase; a secondary aerobic stir phase; a settle phase; and a decant phase. The apparatus for the advance wastewater treatment method comprises a raw wastewater distributor(13); a decanter(90); a means for drawing mixed liquor and sludge to outside; a means which is interconnected to the means for drawing mixed liquor and sludge to outside to control excess sludge withdrawal; a means which is interconnected to the means for drawing mixed liquor and sludge to outside to recycle mixed liquor into reactor(200); and a means for supplying air.
