PURPOSE: A home security system provided with a partially and temporally alarm cancellation function and a method for the same are provided to remove the inconvenience of the user installing the home security system by partially and temporally canceling the guard. CONSTITUTION: A home security system provided with a partially and temporally alarm cancellation function includes a monitoring device(6) provided with a door open and close sensing block(2) for sensing the open and close of the door, a transmitting/receiving block(4) for transmitting the door open and close signal generated at the door open and close sensing block(2) and an alarm cancellation signal generated at a temporal signal generation block(5) and a terminal device(12). The terminal device(12) is provided with a receiving block(8) for receiving the door open and close signal generated at the door open and close sensing block(2) and the alarm cancellation signal generated at the temporal signal generation block(5) through a local network wireless communication and for outputting the received signal to a control block(10) and the control block(10) for setting the security of the security system based on the requirement of the user and a security company(14).
