PURPOSE: A wire/wireless integrated LAN card is provided to check whether to enable communication of a wire LAN in response to an initializing command of a host, and to respond to a command of the host based on checked information, thereby enabling the host to monitor the checked information and performing LAN communication in wire or wireless mode. CONSTITUTION: A clock generator(105) creates a clock necessary for LAN communication. Memories(111,112,113) store programs and data required for the LAN communication. A wire LAN processor(120) detects whether to enable wire communication through communication between a hub and the clock, stores a detected result in a state register, and performs wire LAN communication in response to a host command. A wireless LAN processor(130) performs wireless communication in response to the host command. A host bus(140) connects the wire LAN processor(120) and the wireless LAN processor(130) with a central processing unit of a host.
