PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control method which makes character decoration and coloring of some characters possible even if an OS with simplified functions is used. SOLUTION: A step S3 in which more than on character string is displayed at a text-displaying area 42 based on textual data 24, a step S6 in which an image corresponding to the selected character string is coincidentally displayed at the text-display area 42 in response to at least one of the character strings selected and a step S13 in which an image-display position is moved in accordance with the change in display position of the character string displayed in the text-display area 42 are provided. By this, even if the OS is not provided with the functions of the character decoration and character coloring, it is possible to obtain the same visual effect as in the case that these functions are used.
